You’ve heard the adage, “what goes around, comes around”? I wonder if half of the people who quote that realize that it is a scriptural truth?
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
Galatians 6:7 KJV
Of course, we only really believe it when it applies to something good we’re believing for or when we are hoping for someone to reap what they’ve sown. It is really important that we lead our lives with that in mind. We tend to excuse ourselves out of the equation because of course we factor in our ‘good intentions’ and, ‘God knows my heart!’
While that may be true, it is equally true that laws still work even when our heart may be in the right place. Despite my good intentions to spare someone heartache, my telling a lie will still cause trouble. Not because God is going to get me, but because everything is a seed and every seed produces after it’s own kind!
“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest…”
Genesis 8:22 a.
I know, right!?
We are always so quick to tell someone that the offender will have it coming, but what about our own lives? And maybe they’ve done, whatever the offence, completely innocently!?
I believe it is high, high, HIGH time for the body of Christ to quit looking at others and start minding their own business!
“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.”
Matthew 7:35 KJV
There is one judge and you’re not Him, and I’m not Him.
For the only cause that counts,
